Hi, I'm Colin
I'm a geometer and physicist by training who writes
mostly in C++ and Metal – geometry processing, real-time graphics, and
scientific computing. My training: an MS in Computational Physics, and an
MS in Mathematics.
Most of what I build sits where math and physics meet:
- Surfaces in Space on the App Store,
featuring
- weak gravitational lensing about a Schwarzschild black hole,
- a soap bubble evolved by mean curvature flow with volume
conservation on the GPU, shaded with Fresnel reflection and thin-film
interference,
- LAM,
a set of C++23 math libraries, including but not limited to:
- 3D models of Dessins d'Enfants for the purposes of 3D printing and
augmented reality, joint work with my friend and mentor

(quite the mouthful); I've taught math and physics for about a decade; and
